Presenting Salem’s Spirit Through History
Salem Historical Society, founded in 2015, is dedicated to sharing Salem’s diverse and varied history. We are not a bricks and mortar society and not a collecting institution.* Rather, our aim is to develop and share Salem’s history through sponsored events and lectures, and the virtual publication of articles, features and essays related to Salem’s rich history. We are a collaborative society that partners with other community organizations to research and share this amazing city’s history.
*We are able to direct donors of interesting and relevant historical material to the appropriate Salem entity for preservation and stewardship. Please feel free to reach out to us for assistance.
